Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy (cryosurgery) is a treatment method involving local, controlled destruction of tissues by freezing them. The last three decades have brought rapid development of cryosurgery and made it one of the most common forms of surgical treatment of skin diseases. Cryosurgery devices use liquefied gases called cryogenic liquids. The most frequently used gas is liquid nitrogen. The procedure is painless and bloodless, making it a successful therapy for children. Examples of possible applications of cryosurgery - Wart removal - Removal of genital warts - Removal of seborrheic warts - Removal of mollusc contagiosum - Removal of actinic keratosis - Removal of fibroids
